Where We Started
Demo's Greek Food was started in 1979 by Demosthenes Demetrius Karagas, known as Demo. Demo was only 19 years old when he started the original location on Blanco Rd. in Castle Hills. Lucille Karagas, his mother, was involved in the opening and the developing of the restaurant. Lucille is 1st generation of Greek descent, her mother Victoria Eugenides was known for her excellent cooking and baking in the small town of Brussa. Demo's sister, Victoria Karagas aka Vickie, named after her Grandmother, later joined the family business and successfully expanded to include two more locations to serve our wonderful customers. Family owned and operated Yia yia Eugenides recipes continue to delight our guests today.
